Rules of the Raid

These rules will be used on a trial basis. We are asking all guild members and raid participants to give the new rules a chance before making judgments. These rules are subject to change. These rules were last updated 01 August 2009.

All rules are at the discretion of the raid leader.

TOONS
**All guild members are welcome to participate in all raids offered by this guild.
**Our primary focus of the raid will be to gear up the main toons of participants.
**The toon invited is the toon we would most prefer to have in the raid. The invited toon will be considered the main toon for the purpose of the raid.
**Main toons will be given preference above any alternate toons inside or outside of the guild.
**If we invite a toon but need to make a change, the alternate toons of current participants will be given preference above other players because you have already been invited to the raid. If your alternate toon is invited, you will not lose your place in the looting schedule and your alternate toon will be considered your main toon for the purpose of the raid.
**If you would like to bring an alternate toon, check with the raid leader about your eligibility bearing in mind preference will first be given to your main toon.
**Looting choice will be given first to the main toons participating in the raid according to their specs.
**Looting choice will be given second to the alternate toons participating in the raid according to their specs.

SPECS
**All specs are welcome to participate in any raid sponsored by our guild.
**Our primary focus of the raid will be to gear up the main specs of the main toons invited to the raid.
**The main spec of your main toon is the spec we would most prefer to have in the raid.
**Toons are expected to arrive in gear appropriate for their main spec unless otherwise asked to do so.
**If we need to make a change in terms of specs to balance the group, the alternate specs of current participants will be given first choice prior to bringing in another toon. If you are asked to change your spec, the spec you will be using in the raid will be considered to be your main spec for the purpose of the raid. The invited change to your spec will not change your place in the loot schedule.
**Looting choice will be given first to the main specs of the main toons participating in the raid.
**Looting choice will be given second to the alternate specs of the main toons participating in the raid.
**Looting choice will be given third to the main specs of the alternate toons participating in the raid.
**Looting choice will be given fourth to the alternate specs of the alternate toons participating in the raid.

LOOTING
**The primary focus of the raid wll be to gear up the main specs of the main toons participating in the raid.
**You cannot upgrade the same slot item in the same night. This includes if you received an item for a slot and later may have been eligible to roll for a token piece for the same slot.
**Each member will follow the looting rules found in the looting discussion for the latest updated rules.

FIGHTS
**The general order of killing for trash mobs and pts will be SKULL--X--SQUARE--MOON.
**The order of tank bosses may change. Please ask the raid leader about your role in the fight if there is any confusion.
**Each tank, dps, and healer will have a role to play in each fight. Some are going to be more complicated in others and you may have to go outside of your comfort zone. If you are unsure about your position or are confused about why you are in your position, please ask the raid leader.
**If the tank dies, it's the healer's fault. If the healer dies, it's the tank's fault. If the dps dies, it's teh dps' fault.
